Changing to a new booking system
We are changing our booking system from our current provider “Love Admin” to “Class4kids”.
We are doing this for several reasons:
- There were problems making payments
- It was a difficult to view system
- Minor issues caused more work for us
- The system was limited to what we needed to cater the club
With the change to the new booking system we have also decided to try and change how you pay for your classes. Rather than paying for the entire term in one payment, we have now done it so that you will only need to pay the 1st half of the term and then you will need to make another payment for the 2nd half of the term.
We have implemented this as it will allow to help reduce payment costs upfront rather than a one lump-sum payment.
If you are currently booked onto one of our classes we will be emailing you a link where you can book on for the next term ahead of publishing it to our website.
Trials will now be £5 and done through our new booking system.
Adjustments to classes
We are making adjustments to some of our class timetable for the Summer term.
We will be shifting, removing and adding new classes to the timetable. We are making these changes as some classes tends to be more popular than others that are low in numbers.
We understand that this may come at an inconvenience to some of you but we hope that you will support us on this and be able to follow the adjustments.
We apologise for any inconvenience this has caused.
Below shows the current class schedule to show where we are making the adjustments.
Below shows the new class schedule where we have highlighted in yellow the class adjustments.
British Gymnastics Core Proficiency Awards
We will be assessing everyone for the awards for the remainder of the term, if achieved, they will get their certificate and badge towards the end of term.
The Core Proficiency Awards Scheme is built around 10 different types of activities – such as Strength, Jumping, Rolling and Balancing – with 8 levels of attainment.
Assessment
We will do assessments with all classes to see that everyone is in the correct class that best suits to their ability.
The assessment consists a range of gymnastics elements which will test their strength, flexibility, balance and coordination.
We will send out emails to parents of children who we think could benefit from moving into the next class. As it is not compulsory rather a recommendation to move up, if you wish to carry on in the same class that is absolutely fine.
T-Shirts restocked
We have recently fully stocked our T-shirts and come in the following sizes: 5-6yrs, 7-8yrs, 9-11yrs, 12-13yrs, Adult Small.
If you are interested in purchasing, let us know either by email or in person. T-shirts are £10 cash only.
Parents watching classes
We welcome all parents to watch our classes, but it is not compulsory that you have to stay in and watch the session.
If you wish to drop your child off and return at the end of the class, please make sure they have gone toilet before the class has begun as coaches are not able leave the class in most situations to take them to the toilet.
In some of our classes, we are finding that children are getting distracted or can’t hear us properly when we are giving instructions as this is mainly caused by parents.
We would politely ask if you do want to talk if you could talk outside, as this will allow your child and other children to stay focused and make the most out of their session. We would kindly appreciate this.
We are currently having problems in some of our classes, where parents are getting involved i.e. correcting or telling their child what to do during the class.
We would kindly ask if you could refrain from doing so as this is causing confusion for the child. There has been occasions where we have asked the child to do one thing and the parents have told them to do another.
This will cause frustration for the child because as coaches we will pick and choose intentionally when to give feedback and corrections to not only give the child the space to learn, but also the room to make errors without feeling like they aren’t allowed to make any errors.
Please remember you bring your child to us for us to coach them!
Competition in Summer term
We will be holding a competition in the Summer term. Once we have a date confirmed, we will let you know. It is most likely that it will take place in the second half of the summer term.
