Spring Term Dates
Monday 6th January – Sunday 6th April 2025
Happy New Year!
Welcome back to another exciting term at Anima Gymnastics Club! We hope you had a wonderful holiday season filled with joy, rest and quality time with loved ones. As we step into the new year, we’re looking forward to continuing to support our gymnasts in building confidence, having fun and reaching new heights in their gymnastics journey.
Here’s to a fantastic start to 2025, and we can’t wait to see everyone back in the gym!
Assessment Week
This week, we are conducting assessments for all participants in the following classes:
Beginners, Novice, Intermediate and Advanced.
The purpose of these assessments is to ensure everyone is placed in the correct class and to establish a benchmark for future evaluations. This will help us track progress and ensure all gymnasts are developing well over time.
Distribution of Results
Currently, we do not have the infrastructure in place to distribute full assessment results to all participants, as it is not logistically viable. However, here’s how results will be shared:
Beginners Class
-
- You will only hear from us if we believe your child is ready to move up to the Novice class.
Novice, Intermediate and Advanced Classes
Parents will receive an email with:
-
- An overall percentage for their child’s performance in the Novice Assessment (to progress to Intermediate)
and the Intermediate Assessment (to progress to Advanced). - A detailed breakdown of the skills assessed and how those skills were performed.
- A recommendation for the class your child should be in.
- An overall percentage for their child’s performance in the Novice Assessment (to progress to Intermediate)
Important Notes About the Assessments
Please view these results as a starting point rather than a definitive measure of ability. It’s the first week back, and we do not expect gymnasts to perform at their peak.
Many children have recently moved up to new classes, and there is no expectation for them to excel in their assessments right away. These initial results will act as a reference point for their next assessment, helping us and you track their progress over time.
Purpose of Assessments
Our assessments are designed to provide parents and gymnasts with an overview of performance, outline our expectations and encourage conversations about their progress.
If you have any questions about the assessments or your child’s results,
Please don’t hesitate to reach out to Lorenzo at info@animagymnastics.co.uk.
